Issues

Nor-Grape®80 is composed of Vitis vinifera grape extracts standardized in total polyphenols and on 4 specific phyto markers. This extract is registered in the European Register of Feed Additives under the name of Grape Extract (2b485).

Trial results
In a trial conducted on 300 sows in Canada, the supplementation sows with Nor-Grape® in preparation of farrowing and during lactation showed a significant improvement in the antioxidant parameters of colostrum.
In fact, the colostrum of sows supplemented with Nor-Grape® contained 28% more glutathione peroxidase.

These observations, combined with the supplementation during the whole lactation, are also correlated with a clear increase in piglet weight at weaning.
The results show here a weight increase of 5.82% at weaning day for the piglets from the sows supplemented with Nor-Grape®.
