Trial results
The benefits of Norponin® Opti supplementation have been documented in numerous trials.
In this trial 468 pigs (10 weeks/30kg) were housed in 3 groups of 162 animals: a control group (CTL) receiving a standard diet, a Yucca schidigera group receiving a standard diet supplemented with 120 g/T of Yucca schidigera and a group supplemented with 120 g /T of Norponin® Opti. After a 4-week period (EXP) with supplementation, weekly ammonia measurements were taken at 30 cm above the walkways (2 measurements at 3 locations for each room per week).
After 4 weeks of Norponin® Opti supplementation, the amount of ammonia produced was reduced by 41% compared to the control group and by 19% compared to pure Yucca schidigera group.
